Memorial Day Weekend

It has been a while since my last post.  We got back to Minnesota and I have been busy helping our son and wife with the Blaine Breakout Soccer event.  After that I had a wonderful weekend with the kids for Mothers Day.  Got beautiful flowers and gifts and most important was the time I had with them!
I have not done much beading since we got here.  Oh I need to get my fix for beading hoping after the weekend.  Been too busy visiting and spending time with the kids when they are not busy which is rare!  I get very tired just listening to their days.
It has been raining a lot since we got back so it is making up for the snow they did not get last winter.  The grass can be mowed  2 or 3 times a week.
There was the big Blaine 300 plus garage sales too.  Brenda and family, Charles and I went to them and I got 5 hostas to put in my flower bed in front of the house.  Still looking for more.  I love these cause they are maintenance  free.
Well hopefully we will go to the lake this weekend and do some down time and visit with friends at the lake.  It is going to rain 2 of the 3 days.  I don't know how many of the kids will join us because of the weather but hopefully the weather man is wrong.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoy the time with family and friends and remember the ones we have lost.
I am so ready for the sun to shine!
Happy beading and crafting to all my beading and crafting friends.

WIRE WRAPPED PENDANT

Okay here is a piece I did a couple of weeks ago.  It is a wired wrap.  I never thought I could do this with my finger it was a little hard at times but I got it done.  I was really pleased with it.  I got the stone in Quartzsite, AZ this year and I used Sterling Silver wire to wrap with.  So now I have 2 things to check off my bucket list to learn!  I will do more of these on a smaller scale.  The cost is pretty high on these so I don't think I could sell too many of them.  But it is something else I can say "Yes, I could do that for you!"   Never too old to learn.
Everyone thanks for coming and looking and please stop again.
Back to my beading board,
Diana

I LEARNED SOMETHING NEW

Well I got another thing done off my bucket list for beading.  So what do you think?  I was shocked how much fun these are to make and the endless things you could do with them.  You could used these without the fringe for a bracelet focal point or make earrings with
a smaller stone of course.  Well it was so much fun and can not wait till I do another one.  While in Yuma I have been busy trying new things and getting some of my bucket list done.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful day and fun crafting to all.
Back to the bead board I go,

Nut Bracelets Photos

These are some of the Nut Bracelets I have been making. The one on the end of the group is a man bracelet with larger nuts then the rest. The seventh bracelet from the top is the one I made for my son who wanted it plain and I thought it turned out really nice. He loves it! Well I hope you enjoy looking at these and if you have any questions and orders please feel free to leave me a note here.
Happy Beading and have a wonderful day,
Diana

February Already....

WOW, where did the time go.  Well we are west went to Indio, CA for a FMAC Rally and meet several nice people and did learn from some the classes on how to do things in the motor home.  While we were there my husband, Bob, neck started acting up again with the pinch nerve from the wreck we had last winter on our trip to Florida.  So he has been in a lot of pain ever since and waiting to see a doctor.

And  from there we went to the place they call Slab City.  Now that was an interesting!  We stayed there about 3 days and went to the place they call Inspirational Mountain this guy that did all this work was amazing.  He is now in a rest home.  So glad we got to see this.

From there we went to Quartzsite, AZ now this is another place all RVers have to go to at least once.  Well I was in Bead Heaven there!  I got to shop till I dropped!!  One of my very dear friends was there and her and I went everyday(thank goodness she was not there for 2 weeks) to a different store and market to find our great treasures!!!!  We were there for 2 weeks and still did not see everything.

We are now in Yuma, AZ waiting to see the doctor for Bob.  We rented a lot for 2 months here in the Foothills with a beautiful view.
Well I got some beading done and doing several more cause my friend, Arlene, and I will be getting a table at the market for a weekend to sell our jewelry.  So I will have to do some serious beading in the next week.

I did send out my last order to Minnesota last week I will be posting pictures of these pieces later today.  My son and daughter in law was very happy with theirs and I hope the rest of the ladies will be as happy too.  That is why I do this because to see peoples faces is when they get theirs brings such joy to me!

Well off to the bead store this morning to get a few things so I can get some beading done.

Will post picture later today.

Everyone have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by,
Diana

On The Road Again

We had a great time with our friend and they had a very nice Bar B Q for his birthday.  He is doing pretty good for having a stroke 6 months ago.  He get very tired easy and his speech is not all back so he gets a little upset when he can not say the words.  But it was great to see him up and around.

We left there and are heading west.  I did not bead again today.  I really enjoy doing that going down the road while he is driving but today I took several naps.

One of my favorite places to order supplies is Fusion Beads.  The service is fast and regular mail is free.  I have been very happy with everything I get from them.  Go to their website and check them out at FusionBeads.com.

Anyone want to share what their favorite Beading books or magazines are I would love to hear.  I get the Bead and Button magazine and Beadwork magazine they both have a lot information and great patterns for all levels.

Happy Beading,
Diana

No Beading today

Well did not get a chance to bead today.  We are traveling and stopping and seeing several of our friends in Texas so my beading is just sitting there waiting for me to get a few minutes or hours.  I taught one of my friends on the way how to do peyote.  I hope things are going good for you, Judi.  That is my most favorite stitch.

My good friend Barb is helping me with construction of my blog and she is doing a wonderful job at it.  I am not real good at all the techie stuff.  I want to give her a special thanks for all her time helping me.  I hope we get this blog up and running soon.  I am so excited about having this to share my work with everyone and answer any questions I can.

Well got a big day tomorrow with our friends birthday party.  He is recovering from having a stroke 6 months ago and doing pretty good.  He has problems with his speech yet but I know that will get better as time goes on.
HAPPY BEADING EVERYONE,
Diana
