We had a great time with our friend and they had a very nice Bar B Q for his birthday. He is doing pretty good for having a stroke 6 months ago. He get very tired easy and his speech is not all back so he gets a little upset when he can not say the words. But it was great to see him up and around.
We left there and are heading west. I did not bead again today. I really enjoy doing that going down the road while he is driving but today I took several naps.
One of my favorite places to order supplies is Fusion Beads. The service is fast and regular mail is free. I have been very happy with everything I get from them. Go to their website and check them out at FusionBeads.com.
Anyone want to share what their favorite Beading books or magazines are I would love to hear. I get the Bead and Button magazine and Beadwork magazine they both have a lot information and great patterns for all levels.
Happy Beading,
Diana

No Beading today
Well did not get a chance to bead today. We are traveling and stopping and seeing several of our friends in Texas so my beading is just sitting there waiting for me to get a few minutes or hours. I taught one of my friends on the way how to do peyote. I hope things are going good for you, Judi. That is my most favorite stitch.
My good friend Barb is helping me with construction of my blog and she is doing a wonderful job at it. I am not real good at all the techie stuff. I want to give her a special thanks for all her time helping me. I hope we get this blog up and running soon. I am so excited about having this to share my work with everyone and answer any questions I can.
Well got a big day tomorrow with our friends birthday party. He is recovering from having a stroke 6 months ago and doing pretty good. He has problems with his speech yet but I know that will get better as time goes on.
HAPPY BEADING EVERYONE,
Diana

Happy New Year 2012
2011 was not the best year for me so I am hoping this year will be a great one. I am going to make a big effort of keeping my blog up to date and showing off some of my special pieces. I have grown to love the art of beading. My favorite stitch is the peyote stitch. The weaving and designing of patterns with that stitch is endless. I have been making jewelry for almost 5 years now and it is a passion I truly love.
For Christmas 2011 I made the women in my family Green Bay Packer bracelets. I also made earrings and rings to match. The first bracelet I made like these where all silver and those have been a great seller for me also. Being a Packer fan family I decided to add crystals in the colors of the Packers. They turned out very nice so I decided that I could do these in club colors and also mother's birthday colors. The ideas are endless! The men bracelets I make are all silver and a little wider.
I will be taking pictures of these and posting soon.
I wish everyone a healthy, happy New Year!
